Dominic Givney is a Sydney-based sound engineer, musician, songwriter, and session guitarist. Since his first encounter with the sweet, sweet melodies of Fine Young Cannibals' "She Drives Me Crazy" at the tender young age of five, Dominic has always wanted to make, listen to, (over)analyse and above all else, enjoy music. Cutting his teeth at Jungle Studios in Annandale under the fine leadership and guiding hands of esteemed Sydney producer/engineers such as Lachlan Mitchell and Nathan Sheehy, Dominic is now making a name for himself recording, producing and mixing some of Sydney's best up-and-coming young artists.
Working with music as varied as the dirty blues-rock of the Red Wine Roses, the melodic and psychedelic, shimmering indie-pop of Letters to Lions and the soulful, stripped-back emotional alt-country of solo artist Daniel Twining means Dominic is ready for any challenge, and relishes the opportunity to record any and all music. Wanting to be involved in all aspects of the recording process through pre-production, creative writing, lyrical content, engineering and mixing, he has one aim in mind - to make whatever he's recording sound the best it possibly can.
